When my classroom studied Feudal Europe, we used various techniques and strategies to investigate thoroughly. We looked closely at how concepts from European Feudalism impacted the Founding Fathers when they were trying to figure out how our newly formed United States would work. We did this through multi-modal stations, jigsaw with varying sources that looked at Feudal Europe and the Founding Fathers, socratic seminar to discuss those influences, etc. The students had great discussions in all the activities and even agreed to disagree sometimes in our socratic seminar discussions.
