Over the past few weeks students have researched local and national history, as we embarked upon historical moments throughout time. We compared things such as traditions, way of life, and even clothing /food choices. Their projects required students to look up different groups over time including Native American Tribes as well as Early Settlers. I was fortunate enough as a 18th Century Reenactor (along with my family) to show different pictures to show real life living history to our students. The work showed curiosity, collaboration, and interest in living history as well as how we have evolved over the years. Exactly the skills we want to foster in every classroom.
