Sixth grade students stepped into the shoes of archaeologists this week to solve one of history’s greatest puzzles: The Mystery of Mohenjo-Daro. Students in Mrs. Roark’s class examined artifacts such as the Great Bath and the city’s grid-style urban planning to infer that cleanliness and sanitation were the culture’s primary values. To solve the final “disappearing act,” students evaluated the evidence and voted on the most likely theory that led to the civilization’s collapse.
