Nancy Elementary had an amazing career day. Several people in the community gave a first peek into the world of jobs and community helpers. They explore different careers in a hands-on, age-appropriate way, meeting firefighters, nurses, police officers, construction workers, and many others who help our community every day. Even at five and six years old, students begin to make connections between what they learn in school and the real world around them. Career Day helps spark curiosity, builds background knowledge, and encourages children to dream about what they might want to be when they grow up—all while having a joyful, engaging learning experience.
