Kindergarten students enjoyed the lesson on Who Is Responsible?, a catchy and relatable topic for both young learners and people of any age. The children’s storybook I Just Forgot by Mercer Mayer reminds us of the many times we’ve forgotten to complete a task. This fun, simple story helps children understand that forgetting small responsibilities can lead to bigger problems.
After reading the story, students viewed pictures showing different responsibilities, which sparked conversations about their own responsibilities at home, at school, and in the community. After discussing each picture, the students were given their own sheet of paper to illustrate and label how they could show responsibility.
