The overarching goal of Passport to Learning is to provide teacher leaders with evidence-based, innovative professional learning, resources, and immersion experiences thereby increasing their knowledge, skills and access to resources which will result in increased student achievement and student engagement in AHC-related classrooms. The goals that follow provide context for Passport to Learning’s overarching goal.
Goal 1
Design and implement evidence-based, innovative professional learning seminars for teacher leaders of American history, civics, government, or geography
Goal 2
Increase teacher leader knowledge through the provision of evidence-based, innovative professional learning seminars focused on American history, civics, government, or geography
Goal 3
Increase student achievement through the provision of evidence-based, innovative seminars focused on American history, civics, government, or geography
Goal 4
Expand teacher leader knowledge and utilization of innovative activities for civic engagement
Goal 5
Increased access to evidence-based, innovative seminars focused on American history, civics, government, or geography in underserved areas

Participant Destinations
Each teacher leader receives a passport aligned with eight core destinations. Each “destination” includes professional learning content, classroom application, and reflection.
